Manchester United chief executive Omar Berrada has written an open letter to United fans as the Red Devils host Fulham at Old Trafford on Friday.
In his matchday programme column for the สมัคร ufabet Review, Berrada reflected on the hard work. That has gone into the club over the summer. “
To the fans:
Welcome back to Old Trafford for our opening Premier League game of the 2024/25 season. It is a very special occasion for me as it is my first game here as CEO of this great club. “
I am honoured to be joining you all here. I have been looking forward to this game for months. And there is no better way to start than here. Under the spotlight and with the incredible atmosphere that this stadium is known for.
“Your support at Wembley has been incredible and although we lost out in the Community Shield,
we were disappointed not to win the game but we have gained so much from it. “
When I was invited to join Manchester United. At the end of last year, I had no hesitation. My first memory of this Club as a boy. Was when my dad told me stories of the likes of Sir Bobby Charlton, George Best and so many more. “
It is impossible not to realise the significance of the history of the Club. From the tragedy at Munich to the triumph at Wembley a decade later.
“That glorious history speaks for itself. When I first arrived at the Club last month I was instantly struck. By just how big the Club is and what it means to our fans here in Manchester and around the world.
“I don’t think it is possible to fully understand just how big Manchester United is until you have been there yourself. That is one advantage you all have over me. But I am catching up with you and I feel it more and more every day. This is a place where people can easily fall in love. “
We came through a summer with a lot to do, with changes both on and off the pitch. We are delighted to welcome Joshua Zirkzee, Leni Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt. And Noussair Masrawi to the Club. Four talented players with bright futures here.
“We are delighted that club captain Bruno Fernandes has signed a new contract to commit his future to United.
And that Erik ten Hag has extended his contract following our FA Cup success.
“Dan Ashworth has joined as sporting director and Jason Wilcox has become technical director at the club. We are building a strong and talented footballing structure to work. With Eric and to ensure we are focused on long-term success.”
“We are also looking to build a world-class team that goes beyond football and I know this will help us thrive well into the future. “
I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with our colleagues on our pre-season tour of the United States and particularly enjoyed meeting the large number of American and international fans who travelled there while we were there.
“We met our new partners Snapdragon in their hometown of San Diego
And were incredibly impress with how their cutting-edge technology will help us perform even better.
“We are working hard to transform Carrington to ensure both our men’s and women’s teams have access to outstanding training facilities.
“As you may know, we have appointed a task force to explore options for the future regeneration of the Old Trafford area, centred around a world-class stadium.
“This is the right time for us to move forward with both of these projects and our ownership and management team are fully committed to them.
“At a time when so much is happening for the club, everything we do should help us perform even better on the pitch and that is of utmost importance to us.
“It is incredibly important, particularly during these times of transition, that our relationship with our fans is stronger than ever. This will continue to be important to us. You all have to be central to everything we do. What we do”
“I look forward to seeing you all at Old Trafford and throughout the coming season. This is your club and I promise to always remember that and treat it with the care, dedication and respect it deserves.”
