Galatasaray fans were slamming Hakim Ziyech ‘s missed goal in Saturday’s narrow win over Bodrum. The

Turkish champions maintained their five-point lead over Fenerbahce with a 1-0 victory thanks to Michy Batshuayi’s 54th-minute winner.

However, another former Chelsea player was the subject of much attention after he missed an incredible chance from close range. Galatasaray

had the chance to double their lead when Victor Osimhen crossed the penalty area before laying off Ziyech, who was wide at the far post

from a few yards out and the out-of-positioned goalkeeper. The Moroccan winger then blasted the ball over the bar in a dramatic fashion, sending Turkish social media into a frenzy.

Many fans took to social media to criticise the move, with one person posting: ยูฟ่าเบท “My dead grandmother would have scored that goal so easily.”

Michy Batshuayi had put Galatasaray 1-0 ahead against the 10-men Bodrum early in the second half.

Victor Osimhen broke through the opponents back line and squared it to Ziyech with the goal at his mercy.

Just eight yards out, all the ex-Chelsea man needed to do was roll it into the back of the empty net for all three points to be assure.

However, he managed to get underneath the ball and sky it over the crossbar.

Another said: “If you can, finish with the opposite foot of where the ball is coming from… Finishing Course 101… Basics, guys.”
