Keown: Tierney has been dropped

Keown Tierney has been dropped from Arsenal starting.

Martin Keown believes Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney may have some issues that prevented him from playing for the club in their last Premier League defeat. for Manchester United 3-2 on Thursday night, according to talksport.

The Scottish full-back was named as a substitute in the game. But did not get a chance to enter the field, with Mikel Arteta still trusting Nuno Tavarez to play in the starting XI for the fourth consecutive game.

Keown has noted that some problems could arise between the manager and Tierney that will prevent him from starting despite recovering from injury.

“I don’t know either. I think there must be something wrong with it, and Tavarez played outstandingly. Maybe it’s because the manager doesn’t believe in Tierney as much as we believe in him.”

“Even if Tavarez made a mistake at Anfield, the manager said he would not drop him. So I think Tierney is probably in big trouble. He is a quality player, a leader, a defender that Arsenal fans have been waiting for years. But now he’s not in the team.”

“He rarely comes close to playing each game. So he has to keep working hard and not make himself a problem for the manager,” said the Arsenal legend.
